Cinnamon Swirl French Toast

What's better on a lazy, weekend morning than a big hearty breakfast? I don't know about you, but my favorite breakfast meal is french toast. A very close second would be my Swedish Pancake recipe. Whip up a couple eggs and a few pieces of bacon and there ya go! This is a very simple cinnamon swirl french toast using, yep you guessed it, cinnamon swirl bread.

I found this bread at Trader Joe's the other day. It is so thick, almost an inch thick! Also extremely moist and of course, delicious. This bread makes for the PERFECT french toast.

Grab one egg for every three pieces of french toast you plan on making. I always make more french toast than I need and put it in the refrigerator. It tastes delicious the next morning by simply popping it in the toaster.

Next add about a tablespoon of milk for each egg and whisk away! Normally I would also add some cinnamon and vanilla at this step if I was using plain bread. But we already have this great cinnamon swirl bread, so no need!!

Preheat a medium size pan to medium-medium high heat and lightly spray with oil. Dip each piece of bread into the egg mixture and flip over to evenly coat.

Cook each side for a few minutes or until golden brown.

Serve with powdered sugar, syrup, jam, fresh fruit, etc.
